The African Ministers’ Council on Water launches an open source web-based Knowledge Hub to collect, store and share indigenous water and sanitation information and knowledge.
African Union’s Heads of State and Governments in Sharm el-Sheikh committed to enhancing capacity building, monitoring, evaluation and knowledge management in 2008. Following this commitment, the African Ministers’ Council on Water (AMCOW) Executive Committee, in December 2016, mandated its Secretariat to expedite action to establish the knowledge-sharing platform.
The objective of the launch is to make knowledge easily accessible for Member States and water and sanitation sector actors through the new web platform.
Join AMCOW’s Executive Secretariat and other stakeholders in the launch of the hub, which is expected to not only become a hub of other knowledge hubs but also to encourage and support partners to engage in learning, knowledge creation and exchange.
The launch lasted 1h30 minutes on Wednesday, 18 November, at 10.00 am Abuja time via Zoom.
The webinar was in English, with simultaneous interpretation in French.
